Jeanette Bartosik - Lampworker and Jewellery Designer
Jeanetteka (pronounced gee-net-ka) is an endearing name she borrowed from childhood for her website, aptly named jeanetteka.com. There you will find a sample of Jeanette‘s hand-made lampwork beads. Actually, the beads are torch and kiln-made, which are then later cooled, cleaned, inspected, selected, and then, arranged into timeless jewelry designs. Her skillfully crafted lampwork beads are transformed into harmonious designs. Simple-elegance, regal, and feminine, describe a collection of wearable art glass. The beads are carefully crafted, one at a time, without molds, and are annealed in a kiln overnight for strength and durability. Lampwork earrings, pendents, and bracelets are finished with high-polish sterling silver findings and chains, swarovski crystals, pearls, and other semi-precious stones.
Each formed glass bead has a separate and distinct way of presenting itself, but the key element is the process of aligning all the components in a harmonious way. The idea of producing beads, one of the first forms of human art, and by a method most likely used to create the very first piece of jewelry ever found in antiquity, is a highly-regarded art form that she hopes will inspire others
