Lynda Sellar
Lynda Sellar is an aspiring artist interested primarily in painting landscapes en plein air.
Years ago on a walking holiday in Italy, she observed a group of “Sunday painters” and their Australian instructor. Lynda’s question to that teacher was whether drawing and painting could be learned or whether it sprang from innate talent.
He said it could be learned.
When Lynda retired to Port Hope six years ago, she decided to pursue the idea. Classes with local artists and the beauty of the Northumberland hills continue to inspire her to explore and dream.
Holidays have become opportunities to make postcards of places she loves.
