Mary McEwan - Painting with Attitude
Mary McEwan lives on Presqui’le Point, Brighton where she paints watercolour, pastel, aqua-media and acrylics. Her work has been accepted into many juried shows and is on exhibit in several galleries. Her paintings can be found around the world in collections in Australia, England, France, United States and of course, Canada.
Working in a mostly whimsical and often humorous style, Mary sometimes depicts bright coloured landscapes, but what she is really known for is her paintings of humans and animals with attitude.
Mary has studied with several instructors in Canada, United States and France and belongs to the Eastern Ontario Art Association, Quinte Arts Council, Northumberland Art Gallery. She is a long time member of Spirit of the Hills where she has held the positions of President and Treasurer.
